How to Play Blackjack
Considered by many gaming enthusiasts as one of the most exciting casino games of all time; understanding the essence of Blackjack is simple. Making money here is easy, Blackjack allows players to create a strategy and at the same time it delivers great action and superb dynamics.
The concept is very basic, players must play a hand that gets them as close to 21 as possible. Any card combo over 21 is no good as it goes above the limit. Both the player and the dealer can go above the 21 value losing their hand immediately.
Cards are ranked depending on their specific value according to the Blackjack rules. Cards 2 to 10 show their face value while Jacks, Queens and Kings are valued at 10. The only card that acts as a dual force in card combinations is the Ace which is worth 1 or 11 depending on that scenario the player has.
Start off the game by selecting your initial bet called the “ante” on a range of $2 to a maximum wagering amount of $200. Next, pressing the Deal button will give two cards for both the player and the dealer. Both of your cards are visible on the table while the dealer’s hand only displays one visible card. This is called the up card and the one facing down is called the “hole card”. If your dealt cards do not show an instant blackjack, then your objective is to get as close to 21 by selecting some of the options displayed at the game. When selecting the Hit option, another card will be dealt without having to place a new bet; this will add up to the total value of your hand, you can press Hit as many times as you want as long as the global value is under 21.
If your hand is a 10 or 11, the Double button delivers a new card automatically and doubles your bet; once you select this option remember you can’t get another card, this will play your new hand against the dealer automatically. If the dealt hand is a pair, you can select the split option to create two separate hands and re-wagering on the second hand for a double chance at winning great cash prizes. This additional bet is placed automatically when the player selects to split. If you don’t want to add any cards nor double your bet, simply click on the Stand button.
The dealer acts after you stand, if his hand is under 16 he must hit, if he is over 17, he stands. This rules may vary according to the type of blackjack game a players is betting on, always check the rules to ensure a deep knowledge of the dealer’s do’s and don’ts. Some variations of the game offer different scenarios that boost the action to new heights of table game excitement.
When both the player and dealer are ready, both hands are shown and played against each other; the player receives a payout if he possesses the winning hand. If the dealer has a better hand, player loses instantly. When a tie comes up in the game, the bet is returned to the player. The second losing scenario comes if the player goes over 21 when hitting for another card to be dealt as well as doubling.
Blackjack offers the Insurance option in gaming situations where the dealer shows an Ace as one of the two cards on the hand. This back up feature delivers a 2 to 1 payout; the insurance bet is half the value of the ante wager. If the Dealer in fact has a Blackjack, you win the 2 to 1 payout; if the Dealer has no Blackjack, you lose the insurance bet and you need to make your next call as to hit, double or stand to compare both hands and see who the winner is.
